Angel Colón-Molero

Sound familiar?

Most people who come here have already tried the diet, the app or the medication. What was missing was a doctor who stayed.

  • You lost weight, then hit a plateau.
  • You stopped a weight-loss medication and the weight came back.
  • Your coverage for the medication ended.
  • A lab flagged your blood sugar, cholesterol or liver.
  • You were told to just try harder.

Medication if it's right. A plan either way.

Whether you want medication or would rather avoid it, Dr. Colón-Molero starts with your labs and builds the plan from there.

  • Weight that won't move
  • Weight regain after medication
  • Prediabetes and blood sugar
  • High cholesterol
  • Fatty liver
  • Blood pressure

About Dr. Colón-Molero

40 years of medicine. One doctor, start to finish.

I trained in medicine at the Pontifical Catholic University Mother and Teacher, interned at Damas Hospital, and completed my internal medicine residency at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System. Forty years of practice followed, thirty-four of them inside the Veterans Health Administration.

I opened the internal medicine residency in Orlando, served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Orlando VA Medical Center, served as National Director for VHA Specialty Care Centers, and supervised Compensation & Pension examinations. In that time I sat with thousands of people who had been handed a diagnosis, a prescription, and very little explanation.

I practice Internal Medicine and Functional Medicine together, with master's-level concentrations in functional nutrition and complementary medicine. That means I read your labs for what they suggest about the underlying system, not only whether each number falls inside a reference range.

I see patients in Spanish and in English. Not translated, practiced. If explaining yourself in a second language has ever cost you good care, that stops here.
